
Fried Cabbage with Shrimp, Sausage & Bacon 🥬🦐🥓
A hearty and flavorful one-pan dish loaded with juicy shrimp, smoky sausage, crispy bacon, and tender cabbage. Perfect for a quick, comforting meal that’s bursting with savory goodness!
Ingredients:
4 slices bacon, chopped
½ lb smoked sausage, sliced
½ lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 medium head green cabbage, chopped
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tbsp olive oil (if needed)
Instructions:
Cook the Bacon:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the rendered fat in the skillet.
Sauté the Sausage and Shrimp:
Add the sliced sausage to the skillet and cook until browned. Remove and set aside with the bacon. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
Cook the Vegetables:
In the same skillet, add a little olive oil if needed. Sauté the diced onion and minced garlic until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Add the chopped cabbage, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 10-12 minutes, until the cabbage is tender and slightly caramelized.
Combine Everything:
Return the cooked bacon, sausage, and shrimp to the skillet. Toss to combine and heat through for 2-3 minutes.
